The Research Assistant (RA) is a key player on a dynamic biomedical research team.  The RA provides research and administrative support to the Endocrine Research Unit, a mixed laboratory and clinical research, multi-principal investigator group.  Research addresses osteoporosis, calcium and bone metabolism, and the effects of diabetes and obesity on skeletal health.

 Essential Functions:

  • Recruit and screen study participants for clinical research studies
  • Schedule and conduct clinical research study visits
  • Maintain study files
  • Perform data entry, data management, and quality assurance
  • Perform medical chart reviews
  • Conduct lab inventories and order supplies
  • Arrange lectures/seminars, g. confirm speakers, book rooms
  • Perform other functions as required to support the educational, research, and clinical activities of the research group

Job Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong oral/written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Keen sense of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Computer literacy with knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and the Internet
