Description
The Research Assistant (RA) is a key player on a dynamic biomedical research team. The RA provides research and administrative support to the Endocrine Research Unit, a mixed laboratory and clinical research, multi-principal investigator group. Research addresses osteoporosis, calcium and bone metabolism, and the effects of diabetes and obesity on skeletal health.
Essential Functions:
- Recruit and screen study participants for clinical research studies
- Schedule and conduct clinical research study visits
- Maintain study files
- Perform data entry, data management, and quality assurance
- Perform medical chart reviews
- Conduct lab inventories and order supplies
- Arrange lectures/seminars, g. confirm speakers, book rooms
- Perform other functions as required to support the educational, research, and clinical activities of the research group
Job Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong oral/written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Keen sense of accuracy and attention to detail
- Computer literacy with knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and the Internet
