Overview
MyHuddle™ is a mission-driven start-up working to make mental support accessible and convenient for student-athletes everywhere. Co-founded by a former D1 athlete and an orthopaedic sports surgeon, MyHuddle™ is creating the first platform that connects student-athletes to sport psychology specialists via text and video chat. If you’re a college student interested in working at the intersection of tech, sports, and mental health -- read on!

MyHuddle™ has developed a training program for 2-3 college students to gain hands-on experience in Growth Strategy at an early-stage startup. Interns will receive guidance on how to conduct customer research, develop marketing materials, and acquire new customers through content and social media channels. They’ll build connections in the sports tech industry while receiving mentorship to hone their entrepreneurial skills. The right candidate for this role is passionate about helping student-athletes and using today’s top social media channels to grow and engage an audience. You should be a self-starter who thrives in situations that demand creative problem solving, strong teamwork, and excellent communication skills. If this sounds like you, we’d love to meet!

Note: this is an unpaid, part-time remote internship. Arrangements can be made with educational institutions for course credit. We are seeking students who are able to spend 10-12 hours per week, ideally for at least 8 weeks. Interns will gain mentorship and training directly from MyHuddle’s CEO and Co-Founder, a Stanford MBA and Harvard graduate with 10 years working in tech/sports. Please note there is no entitlement to a paid role at the end of the internship.

What you’ll learn and do

  • Conduct customer and market research to better understand the needs of student-athletes,
  • coaches, athletic directors, and parents
  • Partner with MyHuddle’s CEO and sport psychology specialists to develop helpful resources
  • and educational content (e.g., articles, videos, infographics)
  • Learn how to use social media platforms (Instagram, Youtube) to gain followers and build an
  • engaged community of student-athletes
  • Learn how to analyze and track metrics to report on the performance of marketing campaigns
  • Contribute to brainstorms and ideation on growth strategy for MyHuddle
  • Collaborate with MyHuddle team members on community education and outreach to demystify
  • and destigmatize sport psychology
  • Serve as an ambassador for MyHuddle’s mission


Qualifications we’re seeking

  • College undergrad (rising junior or senior preferred)
  • Able to work 10-12 hours per week on MyHuddle, ideally for at least 8 weeks ( negotiable )
  • Passionate about improving the mental health and wellness of student-athletes
  • Strong interest in the field of sport psychology and mental skills training
  • Prior experience or strong interest in using social media channels like Instagram and Youtube to grow and engage an audience
  • Prior experience or strong interest in building expertise in content development
  • Experienced in using the Google Office Suite (e.g., Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms)
  • Comfortable using technology software like Zoom and Slack for remote work collaboration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fast learner with a strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
  • Familiarity with Canva and/or video editing software a plus
  • NCAA college student-athlete preferred but not required
