Teacher/Tutor/Facilitator needed for school-aged kids in Cambridge, MA

We are trying to plan for what is likely to be an uncertain school year. We are looking for an in home “facilitator” to supplement our 5th grader’s Cambridge Public Schools virtual education curriculum.

Ideally seeking a college senior or recent graduate who was an education concentrator or a current graduate school student who will dedicate themselves to our children during these tumultuous times and facilitate on-line learning in our home. The children will be enrolled in the school curriculum and will be participating in the virtual classroom, potentially full time. They will need guidance and oversight handling their workload. We seek a loving, caring and amazing teacher figure to guide our children through this new learning concept.

We are looking to have a facilitator to assist them with their comprehension of the on-line curriculum, supplement and enrich their studies, as well as, assist with their assignments and stimulate and foster their love of learning. In addition to helping us all navigate through this important school year.

A person with experience and aspirations working with kids in some way or another is preferable; References would be required. Pay structure is flexible, and has the potential for up to 30 hrs a week. Schedule is flexible based on the final format of the Cambridge Public school’s recommendations.

We take COVID seriously and take all precautions both inside and outside the home to keep us all as safe as possible and would expect that any person playing such a role in our family’s lives would also take COVID seriously and take similar precautions.
