Summit Partners Credit Advisors (www.summitpartners.com/credit) is the credit affiliate of Summit
Partners. Summit Credit was founded in 2010 and leverages the substantial resources and deep network of
Summit Partners. To date, Summit Credit has invested more than $2 billion of capital to over 40
businesses across a variety of industries. Investments range from debt to equity, primarily in North
American middle market companies. Many of the transactions are privately originated and negotiated, but
the funds have the flexibility to trade in the public markets for value opportunities. Transactions typically
contain an element of complexity, involving acquisitions or mergers, growth initiatives, corporate
transformation or analytical complexity.
What you'll do:
Investment Interns work directly with investment professionals to assist in the development and
evaluation of new investment ideas, as well as help with the management of existing investments. The
position is very dynamic and exposes Investment Interns to investing across the entire capital structure
from debt to equity.
Investment Interns will get exposure to all aspects of the investment process including performing
qualitative and quantitative due diligence on companies and industries, working with management teams,
writing investment memorandums, building financial models, and participating in the legal
documentation of transactions.
What you're like:
Investment Interns who join Summit Credit must be rising seniors and possess a strong record of
academic achievement with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and be proficient in Microsoft Excel. The Investment
Intern position requires highly motivated, detail oriented individuals with strong analytical and
communication skills. Interns must be able to think quickly and will work in a fast-paced environment.
Successful candidates must have a proven track record of leadership skills.
Terms:
This role is based in our Boston office (in centrally-located Back Bay). The Investment Intern will report
to senior investment professionals on the Credit team, and will be paired with an Associate for the
duration of the summer as a mentor.
The position is a paid 10-week commitment. High performing Investment Interns may be offered a full
time job as an Investment Analyst after graduation. In this position, your work schedule is typically Monday
through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with overtime to be expected. This schedule may vary from week
to week.
