Marketing Internship (10months) | Department of Harvard Athletics

Marketing and Promotions seeks a 10-month intern to support marketing initiatives for 42 Varsity teams, including ticket sales efforts for 7 sports (Football, Men’s & Women’s Ice Hockey, Men’s & Women’s Basketball, and Men’s & Women’s Lacrosse.)  Interns will report directly to the Assistant Director of Marketing. Day-to-day duties include implementing marketing plans; writing scripts; setting up and breaking down promotions; creating and distributing marketing materials; updating; posting social media content and fulfilling sponsorship obligations. You will also assist with the Student Rewards Program, Chief Marketing Officer Student-Athlete Program and other duties as assigned.

A highly organized individual is desired with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience in promotions, marketing, and business are highly beneficial. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is preferred. The successful applicants must be enrolled in school (graduate or undergraduate) for the 2019-20 school year.  Interested candidates should send a cover letter, resume, and the names of three current references to Shaun Dawson, Assistant Director of Marketing at  Start and end dates are flexible; anticipated start date is August 2019 with an end date of May 2020.
