Link is looking for a current junior (rising senior) who would be interested in a real estate internship on our investments team in NYC this upcoming summer. Summer interns will have the opportunity to become exposed to a number of markets and properties across the industrial spectrum and can expect to have close interaction with a tight-knit investments team.
Summer interns will be expected to provide support to full time investment analysts and associates across all aspects of the new deal underwriting, due diligence and closing processes, including: reviewing iterations of purchase agreements and leases, tenant credit evaluations and financial due diligence, property tours and tenant interviews, tenant industry research and evaluation, site diligence on structural, environmental, zoning, etc. conditions, preparing investment models and investment committee memorandums, completing market research, creating management presentations and maintaining real estate sale and lease comparables for selected markets.
Prospective candidates need not have prior work experience in real estate but should be interested in learning more about the industry. Candidates should be comfortable with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word and should also have an understanding of basic financial concepts used to evaluate investments and build models, such as simple cash flow analyses, time value of money, return on investment, etc.
Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
