RCG, a nationwide real estate investment, development and property management firm, headquartered blocks from Harvard’s campus, is seeking an analyst to join its investment team.
Primary responsibilities of an investment analyst are to review and analyze prospective new real estate purchases as well as to analyze and inform decisions on whether to sell an existing asset or invest in a new strategy in an asset already owned. Activities include physical property inspections, market research, financial analysis, coordination of due diligence activities and negotiation of various components of transactions.
The work of an analyst gives a new hire direct exposure and involvement in all investment decisions of the company from your first day on the job. The new investment team analyst will interact with the co-founders, our regional office heads and the managing partner as well as a wide variety of team members inside and outside of the firm. This starting position has proven to be a great springboard to a greater role within the company or graduate school.
RCG, with its predecessors, has been in continuous operation since the early 1980s. We now have a nationwide footprint with regional offices in Los Angeles, Denver, North Carolina (Asheville, Charlotte and Wilmington) and multiple offices in the Greater Boston area plus a joint venture operation in Providence. We buy buildings and fix them up. We currently own through our affiliates and operate nearly 1 million square feet of commercial space and nearly 1,000 apartments.
Recent or soon-to-be college or graduate graduates can apply for this position. We are also willing to consider hiring someone already in the workforce. The compensation package is competitive and varies with experience level. A strong worth ethic and interest in making investments are important traits to be successful in this role. Some interest in learning about real estate is a must.
