What is the Harvard Varsity Club?

  • A group of undergraduate student-athletes, alumni, parents, and friends who...

  • Since 1886 have operated under the mission of preserving the traditions, fostering the ideals, and advancing the interests of Harvard Athletics.

We do this by...

  • Providing professional development and career networking assistance to our current student-athletes and young alumni.

  • Bringing all student-athletes together under one roof at events like the Senior Letterwinners’ Dinner, Welcome Back BBQ, and others.

  • Creating opportunities for alumni, parents, and friends across the country to remain engaged participants in the Harvard Athletics community.

  • Supporting those in need through special assistance funds like the Benson M. Abercrombie ’21 Fund and the Michael Vollmer ’90 Fund.

How can I help?

  • Become a member and keep your annual dues current with a tax-deductible gift.

  • Bring your family and friends to HVC events in your area.

  • Opt-in to our Career Services Networking Database, participate in one of our Career Services events, or email Jessica Perillo ’14, assistant director of career services & membership, for more ways you can get involved.

Make a Lifetime impact...

  • Harvard Varsity Club Lifetime Memberships provide permanent funding for the HVC through an endowment, lessen our dependence on annual dues and donations, and ensure that we can make a lasting impact on our undergraduate student-athletes and alumni.

  • Make a one-time, fully tax-deductible gift of $5,000, or allocate a portion of your Harvard College Class or Reunion gift/pledge to the HVC to receive Class and Reunion Credit.

  • The names of HVC Lifetime Members are emblazoned on a cast-iron plaque which hangs outside the Dillon Fieldhouse Lounge -- making HVC Lifetime Membership the easiest way to put your name on a Harvard building!

  • For more information, email Bob Glatz '88, The Broadbent Family Executive Director of the Harvard Varsity Club.
