FULL TIME Clinical Research Coordinator Position at the Harris Orthopaedics Laboratory

General Overview
The pioneering efforts of the Harris Orthopaedics Laboratory (HOL) have positively impacted the quality of life of millions of patients through innovation and evidence-based medicine since its inception in 1969. The mission of the laboratory is to improve patient outcomes through materials science and clinical research with an emphasis on total hip and knee replacement surgery. The HOL is part of the Orthopaedic Surgery Department at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

A full-time Clinical Study Coordinator I position will be available starting in June 2018. The Clinical Research Coordinator will primarily work with a sophisticated data registry system and help to facilitate the clinical follow-up of arthroplasty patients in several international, multi-center studies. There will be opportunities for mentorship by orthopaedic surgeons, shadowing in the operating room and clinic, as well as authorship. Research coordinators may also have several opportunities to present their findings at national and international conferences. All previous research coordinators have gone on to attend medical school or to pursue a graduate degree related to medical research.
