About Harvard Varsity Club

Since 1886, the Harvard Varsity Club has been the place where Harvard athletes come together.  From the members of Harvard’s Rose Bowl championship team of 1903 to the fencing champs of 2008, it is the common thread that binds tens of thousands of men and women of Harvard athletics together.

Just as the bonds formed on playing fields last a lifetime, so, too, do the bonds formed with the Varsity Club.  As Your Team For Life, the Varsity Club provides ongoing updates for alums on both happenings in Harvard athletics and goings on with Harvard athletes. Whether it’s learning about a team winning an Ivy Championship, inducting top performers into the Varsity Club Hall of Fame, or sharing the accomplishments of alumni from twenty years ago, the Varsity Club is a critical link between athletes of all eras and all sports.

"The celebration of 30 years of Radcliffe Crew is a perfect example of how the Varsity Club helps to form a connection between teams and their alumni/ae. Similarly, the Club provides great encouragement to current athletes to realize that they are contributing to a long and proud tradition of excellence at Harvard that extends well beyond their specific team."

Head Radcliffe Crew Coach
